Tablets are a relatively new piece of technology, having only been introduced to the market in 2010. They are growing in popularity, however, because of their appeal to people who want to have access to the Internet but do not think that smartphones have large enough screens to accommodate their needs.
The following is a list of the top selling tablet PCs in 2011, as reported on Squidoo.com:
- Motorola Android Xoom: This is an Android device that comes preloaded with Honeycomb 3.1. There are dual cameras and it only weighs 1.25 pounds.
- Samsung Galaxy Tab: This Android device has an awesome battery life and can connect to WiFi spots.
- iPad 2: This is recognized as the most innovative tablet on the market. Although it is pricey, you won’t be missing any features that are on other tablets.
- iPad: This was the first tablet to enter the market, and is still a popular choice. It is a good buy since the iPad 2 is now out.
- Superpad: This tablet has a 10.2 inch screen and runs on the Android 2.1 OS.
